| In December 2010, four registered St. croix Sheep
arrived at our ranch. The ram and bred ewe lambs are from Howling Oak Ranch, in Dunnigan, CA. |
| sheep are part of
our rotational grazing system. They eat some of the weeds and plants that the other livestock leave behind, or shouldn't eat. I usually choose multipurpose breeds for the ranch, but these sheep are an exception. I wanted Hair sheep because their meat is much milder and better tasting than wool breeds. I choose the St. Croix breed because they are hardy, easy to care for, and in need of conservation, according to the ALBC. |

Our first lamb was born on March 14, 2011. The ewe showed us what a good mother St. Croix sheep can be. We will have lambs for sale. Contact us for information. |
